Christmas Bow Wreath

November 26, 2014 by brenna 33 Comments

Find out how the Bow- it- All helped me make this beautiful wreath for our first Christmas in our new house. Also check out how you can get one on sale for Black Friday and enter a great giveaway sponsored by Blitsy.

Christmas Bow Wreath via lifeafterlaundry

A few weeks ago I received a Bow-it-All from Blitsy. With Christmas coming I couldn’t ask for better timing. I don’t have a little girl to create cutesy bows for during the year, but at Christmas momma takes over this house of boys and everything gets a bow. The mantel, the tree, and even the door.

Bow it All

Please excuse the glitter all over my Bow- it- All in the picture above. I might have made a bad choice in ribbon, but it was burlap and glitter so can you blame me! My first impression with this product was great! I love that it comes with it’s own storage. The pegs slide into the board and the whole thing neatly fits into the zippered pouch.

Making bows

The Bow- it- All comes with a great instruction manual, but I find that I learn better with someone showing me. Thankfully there are a ton of YouTube tutorials out there for it! Once I mastered the “figure 8,” it was easy to make any kind of bow, no matter how many layers!

all the bows

You can see my bow progression above. I started out simple and then add several layers. My husband was watching as I made these bows, and decided to give it a try too. Of course, he went for the “Mega” bow, and was trying to see how many layers he could possibly get into one bow (his are the burlap bows on the bottom.)

We had a lot of fun and laughs working on these bows. He was actually the one who made the bows for our Christmas wreath. I think they turned out fantastic!

Christmas Bow Wreath

Since this is the first year in our house I get kind of excited about things like hanging our Christmas wreath on the front door. I will probably have to keep this wreath forever, being that it was our first.

I can’t wait to get our tree. I plan on putting the bow a big bow right on top of our tree, using the glittery burlap ribbon. I love how simple it is with the Bow- it- All to make big fancy bows! But, it also makes little bows just as well, so I plan on incorporated some into my christmas cards.

If you have been looking for something to assist with making beautiful bows, I definitely recommend this product. The Bow- it- All 2.0 will actually be part of  Blitsy Black Friday Sale, so now is a great time to get one!

Until the sale starts be sure to enter this giveaway for one! Blitsy is giving away one Bow- it- All to the Design Teams’ readers! All you have to do is comment below to be entered to win. And, yes, the giveaway is open internationally!

    What a DELIGHTFUL post!!!
Apart from enjoying the BEAUTIFUL bows, it is such a JOY to read about your husband joining you on your bow-making ADVENTURE and the FUN you had TOGETHER!!!
THANK YOU for sharing your bows, wreath, precious story and the chance to win this VERY COOL TOOL – keeping my fingers & toes crossed for luck, as although I LOVE using bows on my cards & gifts, I am not very good at tying them 🙂
PS – my husband helps me with my creating too, doing some of the tasks I struggle with and always giving feedback & suggestions to help me, so I love hearing about your husband and his AWESOME MEGA multi-layered bow 🙂

I try to make bows & sometimes they are ok. BUT I cannot consistently make bows that look alike. I love the wreath you did and with Christmas on the way, I will try to spruce up my wreath with a beautiful bunch of bows.

I get frustrated with my bows not looking even…one side is always bigger than the other or the “knot” is out of whack. This sounds like a great item to assist with getting better bows!
